Oddly and/or appropriately enough, Tim first alerted me to this new lingerie website called True & Co. He’d read about it on a tech news site which had chronicled the crazy response to the site launch, whereupon the company ran out of the merchandise it had allotted for the entire year. Okay, what? A bra shop ran out of bras? I went to the website to check it out. Note: I hate bra shopping – to me, it’s worse than swimsuit shopping, because at least that’s a choice – bras are a necessity and therefore a more stressful experience. I have to wear one every day. I’ve had those ladies with the measuring tape tell me my measurements, so I assume that they know what they are doing and stick to ‘my’ size. I often end up in bras with gaping in the cups, too large band sizes, etc. WTF. I hate it.
Enter True & Co.
Instead of entering in ’34B’ and choosing a bra to purchase, this site asked me a series of questions to determine my fit needs – every aspect and angle (strap placement, lift, etc )gone over in this handy quiz. At the end of it, I didn’t feel exactly great – I worried I was lopsided, etc., but I kept going. I was determined to get a great bra.
Then, they presented me with a selection of 20 bras in assorted sizes that they thought would fit me perfectly. I chose three styles that appealed to me, and the fit specialists would pick two especially for me (they don’t tell you which two). , then you are sent all five bras to try on for 7 days. If you decide to keep one, you’ve already paid the $45 and are done. If none of them fit you perfectly, send them all back and try 5 new bras (free shipping both ways).
I got my box of bras last week. Of course, I was both excited and nervous to try them on. When I saw the sizes they’d sent me, I was certain I’d be sending them all back. But then I tried them on, and lo and behold – they were right! I have never had such a positive experience trying on a bra before, and cannot believe how great I feel. I would have kept four but spending $180 on bras wasn’t exactly in the budget. In the end, I chose two and sent the rest back, but I am SOO looking forward to buying more!
Yay for great looking boobs! Yep, I said it.
P.S. This is my own post, written only to inform you ladies of this awesome site. I have not been paid for, nor is this post endorsed by, True & Co.
Current wishlist…
I need these flats in my closet, STAT!
My biggest wish is to remodel our kitchen (finally), so I am working on Timmy to get it going for the end of summer/fall. Here’s a few of my many inspiration pics:

Saving up to buy a camera bag, but can’t decide between this one:
and this one:
And I think I need some more of this…
Oops…didn’t mean to sneak that in there!
Ok, so not all of the items are attainable. I mean, who knows if I’ll ever have that nice of a kitchen.
I’m so excited with the way my summer wardrobe is shaping up. With a few favorite pieces from years past, and some recent purchases, my wardrobe is rounding out nicely!
A few new pieces:
Vince Camuto ‘Miner’ sandal Mother’s Day gift from my mom! Woo hoo!
Soprano ‘Milla’ maxi – This dress is so silky soft, comfortable, yet elegant feeling.
Lush ‘Harper’ chiffon dress – I felt instantly lovely when I tried this on. Had to buy it.
Liz Lange for Target sunburst maxi – This is a maternity dress, but once I laid eyes on it I had to at least try it on. It doesn’t look like maternity – and the skirt is a swish-y material that makes me feel like a princess
Mossimo ‘Perri’ – I think I need them in every color. Sexy AND comfortable
The Webster at Target ‘ Wallpaper Print’ dress - Timmy picked this out for me, and I love it! The blouson top and fun print are perfect for summer!

Phew…it’s hard work coming up with outfits!
…and possibly the best dollar I’ve spent (with the exception of the $1 I put in Tim’s g-string when we met…LOL JUST KIDDING!!).
I am not really into a lot of beauty products. My skin is very sensitive, and I don’t like the feel of makeup, so my daily routine for the past few months has become: wash face, moisturize, mascara, and Burt’s Bees Peppermint Lip Balm. Sometimes, if I’m rushed, I skip the mascara.
Here’s what it looks like when I skip the mascara:
Ho-hum.
Well, my old eyelash curler (a Maybelline) lost it’s grippy, and I have been searching high and low for a good curler. I don’t like when the rubber grip is too rounded, because then it kind of slips around the lashes. Anyway, I had despaired of finding one for under 10 dollars, when this caught my eye at Target:
ELF Essential Mechanical Eyelash Curler
IT COST ME $1. No, it wasn’t on clearance. It regularly costs $1. It has the perfect amount of tension, and curves perfectly to my eye shape. Every lash curled!
Remember the mascara I raved about a few months back?? Bring these two wonderful items together, and you get this:

I feel like I did the time Adrian put false eylashes on the corners of my eyes, and I just wanted to wink at people.
Anyone else score a great beauty product on the cheap?
First time wearing a romper: win!! I loved how comfortable, yet sexy and chic I felt in it! Tim agrees: more rompers, please.

PSSSSSTTTTTT…. Giveaway announced tomorrow!!
Two (2) new pairs of shoes.
I purchased this first pair because they reminded me of Hercule Poirot – especially as portrayed by David Suchet on BBC.
He’s always wearing awesome white, cream or grey suits, and leather shoes, which he keeps perfectly polished.
These are worn laceless, but the shoes did arrive with a pair of laces if you prefer.
I like the boyish look and feel of a pair of oxfords with trousers.
We’d purchased Justin a gift certificate for Toms for his birthday, and I ended up ordering a pair of red canvas classics flats for myself. Oh my gosh they are so comfortable!

Looks good with most casual outfits, but I’ll likely wear them with shorts and tee shirts over the summer.
I went to Kohl’s last night to see about a pair of pants. I ended up leaving with 1 pair of navy cotton trousers, 1 navy and white striped top with ruffle detail, 1 army and pale pink top with lace detail, a DIVINE pair of blush-colored platform pumps, and a tube of mascara. I always find lots of clothes to like (even the LC by Lauren Conrad is built with a few great pieces), but finding my size is difficult. In the women’s department, the smallest size they make is a 2, but it’s sized more like a 4-6. Great for your vanity, not great for purchasing.
Luckily, there are occasionally some basics in the junior department that I can work with (like the trousers!).
The mascara was part of the Flirt cosmetics line, the ‘All That Lash’ in black.
I didn’t wear makeup today, so as soon as I got home I grabbed my trusty eyelash curler and headed for the nearest mirror! I snapped some photos with my iPhone so you could see the difference (yes, those are bags/dark circles under my eyes):
BEFORE
AFTER
I really like this mascara! I normally use CoverGirl Waterproof Lash Blast, but this realllly makes my eyelashes pop!
You’re dying to see the shoes, aren’t you!?
SERIOUSLY these shoes are amazing (and really comfortable). They make me very tall. ’Hestia’ style in the Simply Vera by Vera Wang line. The pictures do not do this pair justice!
I can’t wait to wear them.
