The little red-haired girl
For several weeks Tim and I have been discussing adopting another cat. Yesterday, we finally went to Petco and we met the sweetest, most adorable red-tabby kitten:
She just turned 4 months old, which makes her the same age as Marco!! It’s a rarity for ginger kitties to be female, so she is super-special. As soon as I picked her up, she purred and kissed me. She even put her little face next to Marco and kissed his nose! I knew then that she was our girl. We gave our adoption application and fee to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals, the organization here in Napa. We couldn’t take her home yet, because she’s getting her shots this week, as well as spayed, so we pick her up and take her home on Saturday – I can’t wait!!
I went to work last night, and in between helping guests I was mentally compiling a list of possible name choices. but I finally decided on the name Roux, since her red-color genes are so unique.
Tim approves (he wanted to name her Pixel).

Cute! I wish I wasn’t allergic to kitties… I used to not be, and LOVED cuddling up with my cat, but suddenly in high school I became allergic!
Hello Lovely!
Just stopping by to say thanks for mingling! Hope it brings you lots of fabulous new followers!
PS- That is the cutest kitty in the history of fluffy kitties! Precious!!

Orange cats are my favorite, and my blogging partner (Mrs. H) has an orange cat named Don Gato. Also, I have a friend who has a red pit bull named Roux and I always thought it was such a pretty name..hope you have a great time with your new family addition!
Hello from Mingle Monday! Your new kitty is adorable…congrats on your newest member of the family! I like reading, too, and I am definitely going to refer to your book list when I need something new. Looks like you have some great selections there. Cheers!
LOVE your new kitty girl!!! I have loved orange tabbies since seeing Breakfast at Tiffanys for the first time, and yes it is rare to get a orange tabby that’s female, way to go! Can’t wait to see more photos, read your forthcoming new kitty stories, and someday meet her
Having 2 kitties is so much fun. They play more, snuggle, groom, fight and all sorts of fun stuff together.
Stopping by from Mingle Monday. Love the kitty! As soon as I saw your blog name I knew I had to get to know you!! Can’t wait to get to know you more.
