Lord of my love

(title is from Shakespeare’s Sonnet 26)

How far along? 26 weeks, 1 day

Total weight gain/loss: +9.5 lbs It is so hard to watch the scale climb week after week, and not feel terrible!!

Maternity clothes? Most days I’m in regular clothes.

Stretch marks? no

Sleep: Pretty crummy the past three nights

Best moment this week: I haven’t had any great baby moments this week. I am, however, glad that I finished our tax returns and mailed them out!

Movement: no change; he’s an active kid

Food cravings: no

Gender: boy

Labor Signs: n/a

Belly Button in or out? in

What I miss: I miss not having a headache almost everyday

What I am looking forward to: Receiving our refund AND our First Time Homebuyer’s tax credit from the IRS. :) I just hope it doesn’t take longer than the estimated 4 weeks.

Weekly Wisdom: Smooch your hubby after he does something nice,  like cleaning the bathtub so you don’t have to. :)

Milestones: Doctor says my anemia is definitely a problem, so I have to take iron supplements in addition to my regular prenatal vitamins. Before it was just a slight anemia, and they thought it would be taken care of by the prenatals.  Marco’s testicles are starting to descend, LOL! I don’t know why but it’s funny and I can’t help but chuckle.

I was really anemic too and had to take iron supplements on top of my prenatals. I took slowFE with some orange juice. Once you start taking the iron pills your headaches should stop and you might be able to sleep a little better!

  2. AOG says:

Do the iron pills make you feel light headed and nauseous? I have anemia too (non pregnancy related) and when I took them they made me sick, so I just deal with the anemia.

PS – Way to go on those testes little MarcoMan!

    • No. I’m taking the SlowFe, which is a slow release tablet so it’s supposed to cause less side effects. you need to take it with a little food and some orange or tangerine juice. So far haven’t noticed any problems. Maybe you should try this one? I’m bad too; never took iron supps before I was pregnant, even though my GP told me too Whoops!

i always ate with them, but they still made me sick. maybe i should try those ones!

  4. Jennifer says:

yeah, i never had any side effects with taking SlowFE. I definitely recommend trying them!
