Babymoon

In January Tim and I are taking our ‘babymoon’ to Los Cabos, in Baja California. I am so excited!! We are staying at Esperanza and every time I see pictures of it I want to jump up and down. Esperanza is one of the family of Auberge Resorts, which is the company Tim works for. We’ve wanted to go for so long, and we decided to take one last trip alone before the baby arrives.

Here’s a few pics of the property:

In other news, we’re scheduled for our full Level 2 sonogram for December 31st! I think its a good omen; we will have a pretty clear idea of what we’re having before the end of 2009. :)

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

FINALLY December…

Watching: A Bit of Fry & Laurie
Reading: I finished Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See last Thursday, but I haven’t started a new book yet.
Listening: some Christmas music, but I am keeping this to a minimum so I don’t get too sick of it. I tried to give Arcade Fire a chance but it didn’t work out.
Cooking: haven’t cooked in a few days; last thing I made was chicken with steamed vegetables and a salad, on Thursday.
Wanting: All of the new doors installed! Tim’s got 4 down. :) Just 5 more to go…
Promising: myself to stay warm!! Forecast shows a low of 27 degrees tomorrow, brrrrrrr!

Another literary recommendation

The Robber Bride by Margaret Atwood

Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. The character of Zenia is as hypnotising to the reader as she is to the fictional characters; you dislike her for the treacheries but you covet her strengths.
